Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. is seeking a full-time BSL Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Heaton.

The role focuses on supporting Deaf learners and pupils with hearing impairments, using British Sign Language to facilitate communication and access to the curriculum. You will work with teachers and SEND professionals to create an inclusive environment, encourage confidence, and promote social interaction while monitoring progress and achievements across lessons and

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support learners who use British Sign Language.

  • Support learners on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time BSL Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Heaton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with British Sign Language skills who is passionate about supporting Deaf learners and pupils with hearing impairments.

Working closely with teachers and specialist staff, you'll help learners communicate confidently, access the curriculum and take an active part in school life. Your support will help create an inclusive environment where pupils feel understood, valued and able to achieve.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
