Job summary

Active Assistance is recruiting a BSL Interpreter Level 3 to support a young boy who is deaf and autistic. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, approx 8am-4pm, with shifts planned in advance.

You will support communication at school and during travel, working with care staff to ensure effective communication for the client. Salary ranges from £20 to £26 per hour plus 14.07% holiday pay, with induction training and ongoing DBS processing.

He lives in a residential children's home and goes to school.****He is supported by Support Workers, however we are looking to recruit an interpreter to support our clients communication during school (and travel to and from school). You will be working alongside the Support Workers who will be responsible for the client's care, you will solely be there for the communication side.****Shifts:*** **40 hours a week*** **Monday - Friday*** **8 hours a day (exact shift times to be confirmed but will be approx 8am-4pm)*** Full TimeIn this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance.
