Job summary

Nani Recruitment Ltd is recruiting experienced Support Workers with British Sign Language (BSL) skills for care and support services across the UK. Applicants must have BSL Level 2 or above, be able to communicate with service users using sign language, and hold the right to work in the UK with up-to-date care training.

DBS on Update Service or willingness to complete DBS is required, and professional references are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or similar role in care settings.
• BSL Level 2 or above and able to communicate with service users via sign language.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service or willing to complete DBS process.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to provide suitable employment references.
• Up-to-date mandatory care training.
• Reliable and professional.
• Evidence of BSL qualification is required before submission.

Responsibilities

• Support service users with daily living activities.
• Communicate effectively using BSL.
• Support personal care where required.
• Promote independence, dignity and choice.
• Complete care notes and handovers.
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
• Support service users in the community.
