Job summary

Gallagher's Commercial Property Underwriter role is based in the UK. You will underwrite commercial property risks including landlords, mixed occupancy, and high-value portfolios, while building strong broker relationships and ensuring profitability.

You’ll assess new business, renewals, and policy amendments, interpret property values, construction details, and claims histories, and contribute to underwriting strategies in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience underwriting Commercial Property Owners insurance.
• Ability to analyse risk information including values, construction details and claims history.
• Strong communicator and negotiator with brokers.
• Qualification towards or holding Cert CII, Dip CII, ACII preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite commercial property risks for landlords and portfolios.
• Assess new business, renewals and amendments for compliance with guidelines.
• Develop and negotiate terms and pricing with brokers.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify trends.
• Support underwriting strategies and product development.
