Our real-time, data-driven approach means we’re able to price connected vehicle insurance and assess risk better than ever before, whilst giving fleet owners the insights they need to improve safety. We don’t just pay claims; we help our customers prevent them. We now insure hundreds of fleets in the UK, including the likes of JLR and Amazon, as well as fleets that work for DPD, Uber and Bolt.

THE ROLE

At Flock, we’re on a mission to make the world quantifiably safer, and our brokers play a crucial role in making this vision a reality. We’re looking for an ambitious Broker Development Manager to accelerate our distribution through brokers. In this role, you’ll maximise existing broker relationships and develop new ones, joining our fast-paced distribution team right at the heart of Flock’s mission.

WHAT WE THINK IS MOST EXCITING ABOUT THE ROLE:

Working with a diverse network of brokers, you’ll develop new ways to drive engagement and differentiate us from other insurers, including getting involved with specific deals to help deliver on our targets. As an advocate of Flock’s connected fleet proposition, you’ll work with our brokers to help fleets improve their safety and reduce their insurance costs.

A LITTLE MORE ON WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  1. Drive Growth: Proactively generate high volumes of broker submissions, supporting Flock’s ambitious growth targets.
  2. Build & Strengthen Relationships: Passionately engage brokers with Flock’s unique proposition, clearly communicating our appetite and articulating our key selling points.
  3. Identify New Opportunities: Identify new broker partnerships that align with Flock’s growth plans, working at pace to maximise trading potential.
  4. Data-Driven Strategy: Leverage data to drive purposeful broker conversations focused on growth.
  5. Leverage Industry Connections: Use your established network and industry knowledge to help achieve Flock’s growth objectives.
  6. Collaborate Across Teams: Work with internal teams to deliver high levels of service to our brokers, and communicate broker feedback and market trends to inform Flock’s strategic direction.
  7. Manage And Grow Flock’s Broker Panel: Keep existing brokers engaged, continually assessing trading performance and developing strategies to unlock opportunities.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO FLOCK

  • ESSENTIAL
  • Industry Expertise: At least two years of experience managing broker relationships in the insurance sector, with a respected industry reputation.
  • Energy & Innovation: A fast-paced, problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and act on new opportunities.
  • Track Record of Success: Proven ability to exceed revenue targets, drive business growth, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Broker Marketplace Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the broker market, competitor landscape, and broker business models.
  • Consultative Sales Approach: Ability to align Flock’s value proposition with brokers’ current and future business needs.
  • Relationship Builder: Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships at all levels of seniority, both internally and externally.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Ability to analyse data from multiple sources to assess and enhance broker performance across Flock’s panel.
  • PREFERABLE
  • Established Network: A strong network of broker contacts that will enable rapid integration and immediate impact within Flock.
  • Commercial Fleet Insurance Expertise: Solid knowledge of commercial motor fleet insurance, across both broker sales and insurer underwriting processes.
  • Strategic Growth Experience: Experience in developing and executing successful growth strategies within the commercial insurance sector.
  • Data-Driven Strategies: Ability to utilise data to identify opportunities for growth, address underperformance, and tailor strategies that align with each broker's strengths and Flock’s business objectives.

At Flock, we offer two types of flexible work options which may vary depending on the needs of each role:

- Hybrid: a minimum of two days a week in the London office
