Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Shift Technician to join our facilities team supporting a major broadcasting client. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical and building fabric systems to keep the site safe, compliant and operational.

Working with an experienced team, you will take ownership of maintenance tasks, complete service sheets and ensure work is delivered to the required safety standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.
• CSCS card or equivalent qualification.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements and documentation.
• Proficient IT skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical and building fabric systems.
• Complete maintenance work orders within agreed timescales and SLAs.
• Complete service sheets and site compliance records accurately and promptly.
• Monitor contractors and quality of workmanship to meet safety standards.
• Support the Site Supervisor in coordinating facilities services and budgets.
• Identify faults, carry out repairs and escalate to specialists when needed.
• Contribute to efficient contract operation with a customer‑focused approach.
• Participate in site call‑out rota to meet client requirements.
