Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an AP shift engineer to supervise M&E building services at a high‑critical TV broadcasting facility. You will oversee maintenance, small works, and contractor management, ensuring safety, compliance, and KPI/SLA delivery.

The role requires hands‑on electrical and mechanical skills, experience with HV/LV, and the ability to mentor the engineering team while covering evenings and weekends on a 4 on 4 off rota.

Qualifications

• Recognized Mechanical/Electrical/HVAC qualifications and apprenticeships (C&G, HNC/HND etc).
• Fully qualified electrical C&G 2360 parts 1 and 2.
• Testing and inspection 2391 or similar.
• C&G 18th Edition.
• Proven experience in a similar engineering or technical role with shift management.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line technical support
• Manage subcontractor inductions and review competencies
• Review and approve subcontractor RAMS
• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring H&S compliance
• Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation
• Respond to BMS alarms and troubleshoot issues
• Operate and maintain advanced plant systems and equipment
• Be the lead on shift for engineering during evenings/weekends and coordinate contractors
