Job summary

IWFM is seeking a Premises Manager to lead the on-site team across a group of school sites in Bristol. You will ensure services run smoothly to budget and to the contract standards, while delivering a safe, welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

You will supervise Premises Assistants, oversee security, cleaning and maintenance, drive improvements, and manage on-call duties. A full UK driving licence and DBS check are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, ideally in busy operational settings.
• Experience leading or supervising a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Lead Premises Assistants across school sites.
• Oversee day-to-day services: site supervision, security, porterage and cleaning.
• Coordinate maintenance with Lead Engineers to ensure timely completion.
• Monitor service levels and performance targets; manage damages and defects.
• Ensure health and safety, statutory and regulatory requirements are met with safe systems of work.
• Keep sites resourced with people, materials and cover.
• Develop your team through regular reviews, coaching and clear standards.
• On-call rota responsibilities.
