Job summary

AWD Online is seeking a Facilities Manager to take ownership of a busy school site in Bristol, ensuring safe, compliant, and well-maintained facilities. The role oversees maintenance, contractors, cleaning, and safeguarding, reporting to the Principal and wider team. It offers full-time, permanent employment with a 40-hour week year-round and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation.
• Ability to assess and carry out minor repairs and maintenance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site maintenance, security, cleaning and upkeep to keep facilities safe and fit for purpose.
• Lead contractors, cleaners and site staff to meet standards, timescales and policies.
• Manage health and safety checks, risk assessments and maintenance schedules.
• Handle lettings, deliveries, stock and site-related budgets.
• Foster positive relationships with staff, contractors, parents and stakeholders while safeguarding.
