Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Premises Assistant to support Bristol school sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and well-managed premises and a positive customer experience. You will assist with both planned and reactive maintenance, coordinate with engineers, and contribute to efficient day-to-day running.

Ideal candidates will have FM experience, be well-organised, and able to work outdoors in all weather. An Enhanced DBS is required, and IOSH Managing Safely willingness is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering facilities management services in a customer-focused environment.
• Experience using building maintenance systems and supporting day-to-day site operations.
• Well organised, flexible, and able to manage a varied workload.
• Physically capable of manual tasks and working outdoors in all weather.
• Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality services across school sites.
• Support planned and reactive maintenance in line with contract plans and KPIs.
• Work with Lead Engineers to ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Take part in on-call rota and cover for absences when required.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safe systems of work.
• Oversee stock and materials to maintain budgets and support service delivery.
• Ensure sufficient labour and materials to meet contractual obligations.
