Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting an Engineering Team Leader for a major FMCG manufacturer in Bristol. You will lead a shift-based team of up to five engineers, drive maintenance delivery and safety, and champion continuous improvement.

The role offers ongoing training, progression opportunities, and a structured path to senior engineering leadership within a growing operation. Bristol-based role with 4 on 4 off shift pattern and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Engineering qualification (Level 2 or above).
• Previous experience leading, mentoring or supervising engineers.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
• FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 5 engineers.
• Coordinate and oversee planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Support rapid response to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
• Ensure engineering standards, safety and compliance are maintained.
• Work closely with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to improve site performance.
