Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting an Engineering Team Leader in Bristol to lead a shift of up to 5 engineers, coordinating planned maintenance and rapid breakdown response. You will drive continuous improvement and ensure safety and compliance across the site.

The role suits an experienced Engineering Team Leader or a maintenance engineer stepping into leadership, with a focus on developing the engineering function and delivering reliable equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Engineering qualification (Level 2 or above).
• Experience leading, mentoring or supervising engineers.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 5 engineers on shift.
• Coordinate and oversee planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Support rapid response to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
• Ensure engineering standards, safety and compliance are maintained.
• Work closely with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to improve site performance.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)
Salary: Up to £57,500 (£75k+ earning potential)

I'm currently working with a leading manufacturing business in Bristol that is looking to appoint an Engineering Team Leader to support the continued development of their engineering function.

This opportunity would suit either an experienced Engineering Team Leader or a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to take the next step into leadership. You'll lead a team of engineers on shift, ensuring equipment reliability, driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the day-to-day delivery of engineering performance.

The Role:

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 5 engineers
