Job summary

Rogers McHugh Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager who moved from the tools into managing commercial fit-out projects. You should be based in or around Bristol and capable of coordinating electrical designs, procurement and delivery.

The role blends design, estimating and project delivery, with a salary of £50,000 to £55,000 per year plus car allowance, and opportunities to influence technical decisions on site.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician by trade who progressed into Electrical Project Management.
• Experience coordinating electricians and sub‑contractors, managing programmes.
• Experience on commercial fit out or refurbishment projects.
• Understanding of electrical installations from a practical perspective.
• Ability to review drawings/specifications, prepare estimates and obtain quotations.
• BS 7671 knowledge and testing/ commissioning familiarity.
• Ownership mindset with strong communication across teams and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management and technical coordination of electrical projects.
• Coordinate electricians and sub-contractors, monitor labour and programmes.
• Attend site meetings and resolve technical queries affecting delivery.
• Lead electrical design, costing and estimating activities with the design team.
• Review drawings, assess loadings and prepare scopes of work with suppliers.
• Support procurement and ensure projects stay within budget and schedule.
• Provide guidance to installation teams and ensure final drawings reflect work.
