Job summary

Open Bionics Limited, based in Bristol, seeks a hands-on Supply Chain Manager to own the full supply chain for bionic products—from supplier strategy to on-time delivery to clinics and customers.

You will work with Production, Maintenance, R&D, Quality, Finance and Commercial to support growth, NPI and regulatory compliance, while reducing total supply chain cost through smarter procurement and improved planning.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in supply chain management within medical devices or regulated manufacturing.
• Proven track record of supplier performance management, inventory optimization and cost savings.
• End-to-end supply chain knowledge from sourcing through planning, logistics and distribution.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven KPIs to drive decisions.
• Familiarity with quality/regulatory frameworks (e.g. ISO 13485).
• Excellent communication and collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a scalable supply chain strategy aligned with growth, quality standards and ISO 13485.
• Own supplier relationships, selection, negotiation and performance management.
• Identify and mitigate risks across cost, quality, lead times and single-sourcing dependencies.
• Lead demand and inventory planning across raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
• Oversee logistics, goods-in/out and freight cost optimization.
• Implement processes, KPIs and systems (ERP/MRP, forecasting tools).
• Collaborate with R&D on NPI and design for manufacture for new products.
