Job summary

Amey is offering an industry placement in Bridges and Civil Structures, based in Perth, Scotland. The 12-month program provides hands-on experience across investigation, design, inspection and asset management, with exposure to UK and international projects.

You will be studying Civil or Structural Engineering with an interest in bridges, and you’ll develop practical skills while learning from industry experts. The role starts September 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• An interest in bridges / civil structures.
• A commitment to sustainable development.

Responsibilities

• As part of the Bridges and Civil Structures team, work on UK projects and support international work.
• Assist in investigations, optioneering, feasibility and detailed design phases.
• Support structural analysis, design calculations and drawings.
• Develop carbon and cost estimates, 3D models and technical documents.
• Assist with bridge inspections, investigations and monitoring activities.
• Contribute to data, analytics and digital technology initiatives.
