Job summary

Amey is offering an industry placement for a Bridges and Civil Structures placement student in Edinburgh or Motherwell. You’ll work on meaningful projects across the UK, developing practical skills from day one and learning from industry experts in infrastructure.

• Currently studying a Bachelor's or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• An interest in bridges / civil structures.
• A commitment to sustainable development.

Responsibilities

• Be part of an experienced team, working on some of the most exciting and challenging projects across the UK and internationally.
• Help develop practical, sustainable solutions for bridges and civil structures; from investigation to optioneering, feasibility, concept and detailed design, construction supervision and asset management.
• Assist in structural analysis, design and assessment calculations.
• Develop carbon and cost estimates, 3D models, drawings and technical documents.
• Assist with bridge inspections, investigations, structural health monitoring, and supervision of works
• Contribute to the development and implementation of world-class data, analytics and digital technology solutions.
