Amey Ltd in Exeter is offering an Industry Placement in Bridges and Civil Structures Engineering for September 2027. You will join the Bridges and Civil Structures team, contributing to investigations, option development, and detailed design on UK and international projects.

The role provides hands-on experience with structural analysis, 3D models, and asset management under expert supervision. We welcome motivated students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil or Structural Engineering who

Currently studying a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Responsibilities

Be part of an experienced team, working on exciting projects across the UK and internationally.
Help develop practical, sustainable solutions for bridges and civil structures; from investigation to optioneering, feasibility, concept and detailed design, construction supervision and asset management.
Assist in structural analysis, design and assessment calculations.
Develop carbon and cost estimates, 3D models, drawings and technical documents.
Assist with bridge inspections, investigations, structural health monitoring, and supervision of works.
