Job summary

COWI in London is inviting a motivated civil or geotechnical student to join our Bridge & Structures team as a Summer Intern for 2027. You’ll work on live projects and gain hands-on experience inside a global engineering consultancy, under the supervision of senior engineers.

Through structured activities, you’ll assist with structural calculations and design checks, help prepare technical drawings and reports, and shadow engineers on coordination calls with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Student in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with 2+ years of study.
• Evidence of problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Some design coursework available if requested.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural calculations and design checks under supervision of senior engineers.
• Support the preparation of technical drawings, reports, and design documentation.
• Shadow engineers during coordination calls with clients, contractors, or other disciplines (e.g. geotechnical, architecture).
• Use your academic knowledge of engineering fundamentals to contribute to our projects.
• Gain valuable experience in a global consultancy.
