Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Radiographer in Breast to join the North Lancashire and South Cumbria Breast Screening Service. You will lead breast imaging within a multidisciplinary team and provide expert interpretation to support timely patient care.

The post requires extensive NHS breast imaging experience, HCPC registration, and a postgraduate qualification in mammography or advanced practice.

Qualifications

• BSc Radiography is required with HCPC registration.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Mammography and Advanced Practice are preferred.
• Masters level or working towards is desirable.
• PgC Teaching Qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical decision making in breast imaging as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide high quality, responsive breast imaging service meeting NHSBSP standards.
• Offer expert advice and guidance on differential diagnosis and follow-up.
