Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking a Consultant Radiographer in Breast Imaging with a master’s level qualification in Advanced Mammography Practice and a postgraduate award in Mammography. You will deliver autonomous, advanced breast imaging including mammography, ultrasound, and image-guided procedures, reporting independently and supporting MDT decisions.

HCPC registration is required, with experience in tomosynthesis and biopsy procedures.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Advanced Mammography Practice at a master’s level or equivalent.
• Postgraduate award in Mammography.
• Significant advanced post-registration experience in breast imaging and reporting.
• HCPC state registration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver autonomous, advanced-level breast imaging across mammography, ultrasound, image-guided procedures and reporting.
• Contribute to MDT meetings to support diagnostic and management decisions.
• Lead education, training, and competency development for radiographers and other staff.
• Maintain high standards of patient-centred care and clinical governance in breast imaging.
