University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Consultant Radiographer in Breast within the North Lancashire and South Cumbria Breast Screening Service. The role operates at an advanced level within a multi-disciplinary breast imaging team across Royal Lancaster Infirmary and partner sites.

The post holder will lead in clinical decision making, provide expert breast imaging, and contribute to MDT discussions, with strong emphasis on quality and patient care

Qualifications

• BSc Radiography is required.
• HCPC registration is essential.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Mammography and Advanced Practice are desirable.
• Masters level education or ongoing studies preferred.
• Teaching qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical decision making in breast imaging within a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide high quality, responsive breast imaging services.
• Autonomously lead in the breast team with policy-driven actions.
• Offer expert advice on differential diagnosis and follow-up.
• Develop and deliver a high-quality breast service across North Lancashire and South Cumbria.
