Job summary

Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust’s Breast Unit seeks a consultant breast radiologist with a full range of breast imaging skills and a commitment to teaching and research. A minimum of 4 programmed activities will be dedicated to breast work; the post may include acute radiology duties.

The successful candidate will contribute to the Breast Screening Programme and symptomatic service, participate in MDTs, audits and teaching, and work within a cohesive, friendly team at Queen Alexandra

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration with a licence to practise.
• Entry on the GMC specialist register via CCT (proposed date within 6 months), CESR or European rights.
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent.
• Breast subspecialty experience.
• Management course or experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate fully in MDT meetings, audits, research and teaching.
• Contribute to the breast unit imaging department and to acute as required.
• Support the local breast screening programme and symptomatic breast service.
