Job summary

Southend University Hospital NHS Trust seeks a Health Care Support Worker to assist in the Breast Outpatient Clinic at Basildon Hospital. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, helping plan and deliver patient care and supporting patients, relatives and carers throughout their clinic journey.

The post holder will help with clinic flow, support clinicians during procedures after training, and contribute to the ongoing open access follow-up services.

Qualifications

• Assist with planning and delivery of patient care.
• Provide support to patients, relatives and carers throughout their clinic journey.

Responsibilities

• Support the Breast Outpatient Clinic in Basildon Hospital, assisting clinicians during procedures and with clinical tasks after training.
• Maintain patient records and support patient pathways within the Electronic Patient Record system.
• Monitor and chase investigation results to support timely review and treatment; ensure a clean, safe clinic environment.
