Dakota Hotels is seeking an experienced Assistant Breakfast Manager in Newcastle for a full-time role. You will lead the Breakfast team, support the Breakfast Manager, and ensure guests receive exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers a base hourly rate plus tron. Dakota values positivity, development, and delivering high standards across all breakfast operations, including training and rota planning.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a hospitality environment.
• Confident and approachable leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Outgoing personality with effective communication skills.
• Ability to work at pace and be proactive for the duration of your shift.
• Willing and able to pour, serve and sell alcohol.
• Enthusiastic individual who promotes a positive culture.
• Task oriented with pride and attention to detail.
• Flexible with shift patterns and available around business needs.
• Demonstrates researching our brand and a genuine desire to be part of our team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Breakfast Manager in day-to-day operation of the Breakfast department, ensuring smooth service.
• Lead and motivate the Breakfast team, delegating tasks and maintaining high service standards.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences through proactive, attentive service.
• Assist with rota planning, time recording, stock control and departmental administration.
• Ensure all team members are trained, supported and working to Dakota standards and values.
• Monitor food safety, allergen compliance and health & safety standards.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally to exceed expectations.
• Support private dining, meetings and events as required.
