Main Duties

Our team provides a breakfast service across 7 days for a large hospital population. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills to support and lead the team. Responsibilities include food safety, health and safety, allergen management, and full training will be provided.

The role involves working in wards with dedicated breakfast hosts from 07:00 to 10:30, on a rota basis (17.5 hours/week). Attendance at staff meetings and training is expected, with opportunities for bank shifts and longer hours.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot sponsor visas. A basic English and Maths test will be part of the selection process.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist patients with breakfast selection, considering medical, dietary, and religious needs.
• Serve breakfast and beverages.
• Refresh water jugs and assist patients with eating as needed, reporting concerns to nursing staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of ward kitchen, including stock management and waste disposal.
• Coordinate additional meal requirements during core hours.
• Complete monitoring and reporting forms related to catering services.
