Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience or culinary training within a hotel/restaurant environment.
• Genuine passion for food and a desire to develop cooking skills.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality food.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs in preparing and cooking food items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Support mise en place preparation for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and equipment.
• Carry out food preparation tasks in line with food safety and health & safety regulations.
• Receive and store deliveries, checking quality and freshness of ingredients.
• Support kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations.
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment.
