RBH Hospitality Management is hiring a Commis Chef to join our Glasgow hotel kitchen. This role is 32 hours per week with a 5am start, delivering breakfast service and maintaining the breakfast buffet while following health, safety and hygiene standards.

You will learn on the job, assist with stock and ingredients, and work as part of a small team in a fast-paced kitchen. Some kitchen experience helps, but a strong willingness to learn and a keen eye for detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in cooking and enthusiasm for learning in a professional kitchen.
• Some previous kitchen experience is a plus, but willingness to learn is essential.
• Understanding of basic food prep techniques and commitment to improving skills.
• Strong attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness and food safety.

Responsabilités

• Preparing breakfast and maintaining the breakfast buffet.
• Follow health & safety regulations in the workplace.
• Maintain a clean, organised workstation, following hygiene and food safety standards rigorously.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks.
• Help with kitchen inventory by preparing ingredients and monitoring stock levels and placing food orders.
• Take on all cooking tasks.
• Participate in regular cleaning duties to ensure equipment and surfaces are kept spotless.
• Quickly learn and adapt to kitchen procedures, contributing to a well-organised team.
• Ensure all kitchen paperwork is up to date and in line with audit standards.
