Job summary

The Milner York is seeking a Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen brigade at a landmark city hotel near York Station. You will cook high-quality breakfast dishes and contribute to a warm, guest-focused morning service.

We value fresh ingredients, food safety and teamwork, with early shifts, weekend and bank holiday availability. Experience as Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie or Commis is welcome; join a passionate hospitality team.

Qualifications

• Experience as Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie or Commis Chef.
• Passion for fresh food and attention to detail.
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking high-quality breakfast dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Ensuring breakfast service runs smoothly, efficiently and on time.
• Preparing fresh ingredients and maintaining excellent food presentation.
• Working closely with the wider kitchen team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
• Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety.
• Assisting with stock rotation, ordering and minimising food waste.
• Supporting the kitchen team with preparation for later services when required.

At The Milner York, we're looking for a passionate and reliable Breakfast Chef to join our talented Kitchen Brigade. Located next to York Railway Station, our iconic hotel welcomes guests from around the world, and breakfast is often the first impression they have of their stay. We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional food and outstanding service every morning.

What you'll be doing
