St Martins Lane by Morgans Original in Covent Garden is seeking a Breakfast Chef to lead our breakfast service, delivering high-quality dishes and memorable mornings for guests.

Join a five-star hotel team committed to quality, consistency, and exceptional guest experiences. You’ll work early shifts, showcase creativity, and ensure safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced kitchen while collaborating with front-of-house staff.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Breakfast Chef or Chef de Partie within a quality hotel or restaurant.
• A passion for fresh food, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
• Ability to manage breakfast service independently with strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality breakfast dishes to five-star standards.
• Lead and manage breakfast service with confidence and efficiency.
• Keep buffets and à la carte offerings well-stocked and visually appealing.
• Ensure food quality, hygiene and safety throughout service.

The Opportunity

As Breakfast Chef, you'll take ownership of the most important service of the day, ensuring every guest receives a memorable start to their morning.

You'll be responsible for preparing and presenting a wide range of breakfast offerings whilst maintaining the exceptional standards expected within a five-star hotel environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing and presenting high-quality breakfast dishes to five-star standards
• Managing and leading the breakfast service with confidence and efficiency
• Ensuring breakfast buffets and à la carte offerings are consistently well-stocked and beautifully presented
• Maintaining exceptional food quality, consistency, and attention to detail
• Supporting lunch preparation and smooth kitchen handovers where required
• Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
• Building positive working relationships across the kitchen and front-of-house teams

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely enjoys creating outstanding food experiences.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie, or Commis Chef within a quality hotel or restaurant environment
• A passion for fresh food, exceptional presentation, and guest satisfaction
• The ability to work independently and confidently manage breakfast service
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
• A positive, reliable, and professional approach
• Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance standards
• The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy service environment
• A genuine desire to learn, grow, and develop a career within luxury hospitality
