Job summary

Alexander Faraday Recruitment are seeking a Breakfast Chef for a well-established hotel in Windsor. You will lead a busy breakfast service, working with a predominantly buffet setup while preparing individual dishes when required.

Expect 40 hours per week across 5 days, with shifts starting around 5:30am–6:00am and finishing early afternoon. Applicants must have right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Experience in a professional kitchen is preferred.

Breakfast Chef

Were looking for a Breakfast Chef to join the kitchen team at a well-established hotel in Windsor.

This is a great opportunity for a Chef who enjoys the buzz of breakfast service, takes pride in producing good quality food and likes having a role that extends beyond simply cooking breakfast.

Youll be responsible for delivering a high-volume breakfast service, working with a predominantly buffet offering while also preparing individual dishes when required. On quieter mornings, the service moves towards an la carte format, so youll need to be comfortable adapting to changing guest numbers.

What does the role involve?

Breakfast is busy, with around 120140 covers during the week and 200+ at weekends, so this is a hands-on position where organisation and consistency are important.

Once breakfast service is complete, youll become part of the wider kitchen operation, helping with preparation for:

• Afternoon Tea
• Staff meals
• Conference and meeting breaks
• The following day's service
• General kitchen preparation

Youll work 40 hours per week across 5 days out of 7, with shifts generally starting between 5:30am and 6:00am and finishing in the early afternoon.

What are we looking for?

You dont necessarily need a background specifically in hotel breakfasts. Were interested in Chefs who have worked in a professional kitchen and are confident producing food consistently in a busy environment.

Youll ideally have experience with breakfast or all-day dining, although candidates from other suitably busy kitchen environments will be considered.

More importantly, youll be:

• Reliable and comfortable with early starts
• Organised and able to keep on top of a busy service
• Confident working independently
• Comfortable working as part of a small kitchen team
• Focused on food quality, presentation and consistency
• Familiar with food hygiene and kitchen safety requirements
• Flexible enough to support other areas of the kitchen when breakfast service is finished
