Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy Ltd is seeking a Breakfast and Lunch Chef near Leeds to join a busy hotel kitchen. The role involves preparing buffet breakfasts, conference lunches and staff meals, with a 40-hour week from early mornings and a supportive team environment.

You will deliver quality food across varied services, maintain HACCP standards, and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure smooth service and development opportunities within the group.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a breakfast chef within a hotel environment.
• Confidence preparing buffet breakfasts and conference lunches for larger numbers.
• Ability to work effectively within a small kitchen team.
• Enjoyment of early morning shifts.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in food preparation and presentation.
• A good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• A flexible approach and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Previous experience as a Chef De Partie would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver buffet breakfasts for approximately 100-150 guests.
• Prepare and serve conference lunches for up to 140 guests.
• Produce buffet-style staff lunches for up to 30 team members.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and stocktaking, and minimise food waste.
• Maintain excellent cleanliness and comply with HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Complete kitchen opening and closing checklists.
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented to an excellent standard.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Are you an experienced Breakfast and Lunch Chef looking for a new opportunity within a busy hotel kitchen? This is a fantastic chance to join a popular hotel 5 miles from the city of Leeds, preparing fresh breakfasts, conference lunches and staff meals within a supportive and friendly team.

Working across a varied operation, you’ll be responsible for delivering buffet breakfasts for up to 150 guests, alongside conference and staff lunches.
