Job summary

Sopwell House in Hertfordshire is seeking a friendly Brasserie Waiter to join our luxury hotel dining team. You will deliver warm, professional service to guests in a 4- or 5-star setting, seat guests, explain menus, and work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for food, beverage and hospitality.
• Previous experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or similar high-quality dining environment.
• A friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently while remaining part of a close-knit team.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, friendly, and professional service to all guests.
• Proactively welcoming and greeting all guests and visitors
• To seat guests offering them menus, drinks and providing explanations of the menu when required
• To deal efficiently and courteously with all guest queries
• Excellent knowledge of restaurant food and wine menus to be able to offer guidance and make recommendations
• Work closely with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service.
• Help create a warm, welcoming, and memorable atmosphere.
• Take pride in presentation and attention to detail in every aspect of your role.
• Support your colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Be available for evening and weekend shifts as required.

Shifts are based around the Brasserie's hours (6:00 AM - 11:30 PM).
