Job summary

Total Plumbing in Ammanford is seeking a reliable Branch Assistant/Van Driver to join our team. You will split your time between delivering goods to our customers and supporting branch operations, representing the business on the road and in the trade counter. Hours are an average of 43.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4.30pm, plus every other Saturday morning 8.00am–12.00pm.

Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A smart, professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Flexible approach to supporting different areas of branch operations.
• Forklift truck certification is desirable (training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles safely and in accordance with legal requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Secure loads and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
• Deliver products to customers and obtain signatures.
• Keep vehicles clean and roadworthy at all times.
• Serve customers in the branch and assist with stock preparation.
• Assist with loading vehicles and operating fork trucks (certification needed).
• Receive goods inwards, check quantities and conditions.
• Carry out stock checks and support stocktakes.
• Maintain showroom and warehouse standards following health & safety rules.
