Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Sales Assistant for our High Wycombe branch. You’ll help trade customers, provide product recommendations, and manage stock and deliveries with a 3.5t van, in a 40-hour week Mon-Fri 7:30-17:00 and Saturday mornings on a 1 in 4 or 5 rota.

Qualifications

• Driving licence is highly desirable.
• Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal.
• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience.
• Ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Be a team player focused on smooth branch operations.
• Eagerness to learn with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter with advice and product recommendations.
• Answer customer enquiries by phone and email promptly and courteously.
• Make outbound calls to previous customers to regain business.
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the branch for new and existing customers.
• Perform warehouse duties: stock handling, booking arrivals, picking and packing orders.
• Deliver to customers in the local area using a 3.5t van.
