About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Insite Manager to lead our on-site operation at a key customer location.

As the senior Rubix representative on site, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of service delivery, safety, stores control, commercial performance and the customer relationship. You’ll provide the customer with one accountable point of contact while bringing together Rubix teams, suppliers and site stakeholders to deliver a safe, responsive and commercially successful operation.

This is an opportunity for an operationally strong and commercially aware leader to take real ownership, solve complex problems and create measurable value for both the customer and Rubix.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a safe and compliant operation, maintaining effective risk assessments, safe systems of work, inspections and corrective actions.
  • Take ownership of day-to‑day contract delivery, ensuring service levels, responsibilities, controls and customer obligations are clearly understood and achieved.
  • Act as the primary Rubix contact on site, building trusted relationships across engineering, procurement, finance, operations and senior leadership.
  • Lead and develop the site team where applicable, setting clear standards, coaching performance and creating resilient cover and effective handovers.
  • Maintain control of stores activity, including goods‑in, put‑away, booking‑out, returns, repairs, transfers, housekeeping and customer enquiries.
  • Manage inventory and supply performance, including stock accuracy, perpetual inventory, critical spares, stockouts, supplier continuity and variance control.
  • Own site commercial performance across sales, gross profit, margin, cost‑to‑serve, working capital, forecasting and recovery activity.
  • Deliver accurate KPI, safety, financial, inventory and risk reporting, supported by clear actions, owners and timescales.
  • Identify and deliver measurable improvements through stock optimisation, supplier consolidation, product alternatives, digital adoption and process improvement.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong operational leadership experience gained within an Insite, MRO, engineering stores, warehouse, supply‑chain, branch or similar customer‑facing environment.
  • Commercial awareness, with experience managing sales, gross profit, margin, costs, forecasts or working capital.
  • Practical knowledge of purchasing, orderbook management, inventory control, perpetual counting and stock‑accuracy processes.
  • Experience using ERP, inventory or stores‑management systems to maintain accurate, auditable operational controls.
  • A strong understanding of HSEQ requirements, including risk assessments, safe systems of work and corrective‑action management.
  • Experience managing KPIs, service recovery, operational risk and structured customer performance reviews.
  • The ability to lead, coach and influence others, whether through direct line management or cross‑functional relationships.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, written and digital skills, with the confidence to interpret data and present clear recommendations.
  • The judgement to balance customer urgency with safety, contractual, commercial, technical and policy requirements.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll create a safe, accurate and responsive operation where risks are identified early, customer commitments are delivered and performance is clearly understood. You’ll maintain strong commercial and inventory controls while developing an improvement pipeline with measurable, customer‑validated benefits.

What We’re Looking For
  • Acts with integrity and communicates honestly.
  • Takes ownership and acts before problems escalated.
  • Uses data and root‑cause analysis to challenge assumptions.
  • Builds constructive relationships across customers, colleagues and suppliers.
  • Continually looks for better ways to improve service, control and value.
