Job summary

Edwards & Pearce Ltd. in Hull seeks a Branch Manager to lead the team, drive growth, ensure superb customer outcomes and strong regulatory compliance. You will translate objectives into implementable priorities, coach staff, and build a high-performing, inclusive culture.

The role focuses on operational excellence, accountability, and delivering sustainable business growth while maintaining high professional standards and strong relationships with customers and insurers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience within insurance, financial services or customer-facing environment.
• Proven coaching and development of teams with clear objectives and performance management.
• Experience overseeing operations, resources, service delivery and controls.
• Ability to improve processes, productivity and customer outcomes for growth.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Willingness to build knowledge of FCA requirements and Consumer Duty; direct insurance expertise not essential.
• Desirable: Cert CII or progression toward accreditation.
• Desirable: community engagement and change-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate branch objectives into clear priorities and track delivery.
• Drive growth through sales activity, customer retention and service quality.
• Foster relationships with customers, insurers and internal teams.
• Provide visible leadership, set expectations and coach the team.
• Recruit, develop and retain talent while building succession potential.
• Oversee efficient branch operations and uphold governance and compliance.
