Job summary

Jewson is seeking a Branch Manager in Launceston to lead a team, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service in a busy building materials environment.

You will build strong supplier relations, manage stock, and ensure health and safety are priorities while growing the local market.

Jewson a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Branch Manager who’s as passionate about great leadership as we are.

Location: Jewson, Newport Square, Launceston, PL15 8EX.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support the team to deliver success and promote opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the wider network to support Customer requirements and business activities.
• Adjust the nature of services delivered according to developments in customer needs and expectations in line with our Jewson Values.
• Build and develop great relationships with new and existing Customers, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible.
• Build effective relationships with suppliers.
• Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth.
• Ensure accurate stock levels are maintained, carrying out regular stock counts.
• Lead your team to make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work.

Required Skills And Experience

• First and foremost, we always want to recruit great people that really understand our values and ways of working.
• It is important you have can evidence experience in motivating and driving sales for this role.
• You will already have strong communication and commercial awareness to be able to empower the team to provide great customer service.
• Previous experience in the building materials supply industry is essential.
