Job summary

Jewson is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in Selby to lead a team and deliver outstanding service to customers. The role focuses on developing product knowledge, building strong relationships with customers, and driving sales while ensuring safe, efficient branch operations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven sales background, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage relationships with customers and the team.

Qualifications

• Proven background in Sales with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Strong communication to provide great customer service.
• Ability to build, develop and maintain relationships.
• Industry experience / knowledge of building materials advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as first line support to the Branch Manager to lead and support the team to deliver success.
• Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions.
• Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible.
• Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth.
• Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey.
• Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts.
• Lead your team to make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work.

Jewson is a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for an Assistant Branch Manager who's as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours: 7:30am to17:00pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8am-12pm.

Location: Unit 1, Three Lakes Industrial Estate, Selby YO8 8NB.

Key Responsibilities
