Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Branch Manager for our Abergavenny branch. This is a 3 Month secondment, full-time 35 hours per week, Monday to Saturday. You will lead a team to deliver the best customer experience on the high street and ensure compliance with FCA standards.

You’ll train virtually in-branch, develop a business plan, and drive branch performance. The role requires a 45-minute commuting radius. Nationwide offers extensive employee benefits and redeployment support.

Qualifications

• Must be able to take control of the branch and lead your people while meeting FCA standards.
• Experience managing people in a busy retail environment.
• Ability to monitor and explore branch activity to spot opportunities and improve customer outcomes.
• Resilience, versatility and flexibility to prioritise in changing circumstances.
• Previous branch manager experience in a retail environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead branch floor operations and ensure the team is fully trained and performing at their best.
• Manage customer expectations and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products and services; create and implement the branch business plan.
• Stay organised and deliver high-quality service in a busy environment with support from the management team.
• Train and guide staff on computer systems and processes to maintain efficiency.
