Job summary

Taylor Blackwood Associates, recruiting for a Stafford-based manufacturing company, seeks an experienced Press Brake Operator. You will set up and run Press Brake machinery to produce high-quality metal components, ensuring targets and quality standards are met.

The role is temporary to permanent, 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with weekly pay via Taylor Blackwood Associates. Ongoing training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous Press Brake operating experience (essential)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Strong measuring, numerical and problem-solving skills
• Experience using measuring and inspection equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures in manufacturing
• Proactive attitude and ability to work well in a team

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Press Brake machinery to bend and form metal components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
• Select the correct tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job
• Load, position, and align materials to specification
• Monitor machine performance and adjust for consistent quality
• Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment and standards
• Carry out routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines

Press Brake Operator

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Pay: £13.00 per hour
Hours: 38 Hours per Week | Monday to Thursday

Taylor Blackwood Associates are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Stafford.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy production team where quality, precision, and teamwork are at the heart of the operation.

The Role

As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Press Brake machinery to produce high-quality metal components while ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Press Brake machinery to bend and form metal components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
• Select the correct tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job
