Job summary

DC Personnel are recruiting for a Press Brake Operator or Setter for our client based in Leicester LE7. Hours are Mon-Weds 2pm-Midnight, Friday OFF. Overtime is available during the week at 1.3x and at 1.5x on Saturday.

You will operate the Brake Press, set up tooling, perform safety checks, read drawings and help ensure quality and housekeeping. Training will be provided with opportunities for progression within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a press brake.
• Able to read technical drawings and perform measurements.
• Good numeracy and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate Brake Press including machine set-up and tooling selection, with safety checks.
• Perform quality checks and ensure components meet specifications.
• Complete associated documentation and maintain housekeeping in the work area.

Main Tasks

Operate Brake Press; including machine set-up, selecting tooling, safety checks. Machine programming - training can be provided. Use of various hand tools and sheet metal machinery in the fabrication and finishing of materials (training will be provided). Executing works orders to the required specified quality, accuracy and defined output rate.

Quality Assurance of components and finished goods by inspection of own work and others. Completion of associated documentation.Maintain working area to a high level of housekeeping.
