Job summary

Tradewind Education is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across Bradford partner schools. Roles range from day-to-day supply to short- and long-term assignments, allowing you to choose based on your availability and goals.

You will supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared work, and help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment while following safeguarding procedures and school policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to confidently supervise groups of secondary-aged students.
• Calm, professional and positive approach.
• Able to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively.
• Flexible and reliable.
• Commitment to supporting students' education and wellbeing.
• Good understanding of safeguarding in education.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring engagement.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Providing a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting students with their learning where appropriate.
• Taking attendance and reporting concerns to staff.
• Ensuring students complete the provided work.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and behaviour.
• Following safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
