Job summary

Marc Daniels in Bracknell is seeking an organised Bookkeeper to support day-to-day finance operations in a busy, office-based environment. This full-time role offers variety across transactional finance and a clear path to develop accounting skills within a growing business.

You will maintain ledgers, process invoices, reconcile bank accounts and assist with month-end and year-end activities, with close collaboration with external accountants. AAT qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Bookkeeper, Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Experience using Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Competent Excel and general IT skills.
• Strong communication and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and journals.
• Process purchase and sales invoices.
• Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable and support credit control activities.
• Assist with month-end reporting and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial information for management review.
• Support year-end processes and external accountants where required.
• Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and compliantly.
