Autograph Recruitment is seeking a Bookkeeper in Bridgend to join a well-established accountancy practice. You will manage bookkeeping for SME clients, handle VAT returns, and respond to client queries, with training and development opportunities provided.

The role offers a salary between £26,000 and £30,000 DOE, full-time permanent employment, and a supportive team environment aimed at career progression within practice.

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping experience within accountancy practice.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping and VAT.
• Experience with Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
• Strong attention to detail and organisation.
• Confident communicating with clients.
• Reliable, proactive and keen to develop.

Responsibilities

• Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of SME clients
• Processing sales and purchase invoices
• Completing bank reconciliations
• Preparing VAT returns
• Assisting with management accounts and month-end
• Dealing with client queries
