Job summary

De La Rue is seeking a BPS Operator for our site at Loughton, Essex, reporting to the Finishing Process Lead. The role focuses on maximising BPS machine output while maintaining quality and adhering to health and safety standards.

Key duties include improving machine efficiency, solving minor technical issues, liaising with BPS Seniors, minimising waste, and maintaining accurate records. Permanent contract with a 24/5 12-hour shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Exposure to a manufacturing environment (desirable).
• Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths & English.
• Able to complete required paperwork and PC literate (MS Office).
• Experience of working in an industrial environment.
• Able to follow policies and procedures.
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of finishing processes (Desirable).
• Able to manipulate OBIS model (Desirable).

Job description

We have an opportunity for a BPS Operator to join our team at our site in Loughton, Essex. Reporting to the Finishing Process Lead, you will be required to ensure that the BPS machine output is maximised and quality standards are maintained, whilst adhering to health and safety regulations.

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: 24/5 Shift Pattern - consists of 3 crews of 12-hour shifts of either: 6.00 am to 6.00 pm; and 6.00 pm to 6.00 am, Monday to Friday rota. Attendance is 40 hours per week on average, including a 30-minute unpaid break plus a 15-minute unpaid break to be taken during the shift

Base location: Debden

Basic Salary: £40,117 per annum. Upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period, this will rise to £40,829 per annum.
