Job summary

De La Rue is seeking a Senior BPS Operator for our Loughton, Essex site. You will maximise machine output, ensure quality, and lead a bay of operators while adhering to health and safety standards.

The role reports to the Finishing Process Lead and requires experience with BPS finishing processes, strong attention to detail, and good computer literacy. Competitive salary with progression is offered.

Qualifications

• Exposure to a manufacturing environment (desirable).
• Clear communication & interpersonal skills.
• Craft Apprenticeship or NVQ level 2 or equivalent (Desirable).
• Educated to GCSE level Maths and English (Essential).
• Experience of finishing processes, in particular BPS machine (Essential).
• Attention to detail and numeracy.
• Computer literate.
• Able to manipulate OBIS model (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Maximise machine efficiency to deliver high output and quality.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and provide solutions.
• Maintain paperwork and records for accurate documentation.
• Operate safely and minimise waste.
• Monitor product quality and adjust processes to reduce waste.
• Meet production targets set by management.
• Escalate machine faults per procedures.
• Ensure smooth shift handovers with clear information.
• Support continuous improvement across De La Rue.
• Coordinate with OBIS interface to maintain quality with minimal spoilage.
