Job summary

Qualifications

• Promote the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme by providing information, advice and support to eligible populations.
• Plan and deliver community outreach and health promotion activities across East Kent, developing accessible resources and campaigns to raise awareness of bowel cancer screening.
• Build strong partnerships with healthcare providers, community organisations and stakeholders to increase screening uptake and reduce health inequalities.
• Monitor programme performance through audits, data analysis and reporting, including Health Equity Audits and continuous service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Promote the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme by providing information, advice and support to eligible populations, including guidance on accessing the service and obtaining FIT screening kits.
• Plan, organise and deliver health promotion and outreach activities across East Kent, including community events, primary care settings and occasional evening sessions.
• Develop and maintain health promotion resources, including printed literature, displays, newsletters, digital communications and social media campaigns to improve screening awareness and uptake.
• Assess health information needs of local communities and develop accessible, culturally appropriate resources that address language, literacy and health inequalities.
