Job summary

Qualifications

• GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent.
• IT literate and able to use full Microsoft packages.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Willingness to undertake further training where required.
• Working towards degree or equivalent.
• Degree in Public Health/Health Promotion.

Responsibilities

• Promote the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme with information, advice and support to eligible populations.
• Plan, organise and deliver health promotion and outreach activities across East Kent.
• Develop health promotion resources (printed literature, displays, newsletters, digital campaigns).
• Assess health information needs and develop accessible resources addressing language and literacy.
• Build partnerships with GP practices, pharmacies and community organisations to increase uptake.
• Use evidence-based outreach to support underserved populations and address health inequalities.
• Maintain knowledge of NHS guidance and governance; ensure safeguarding and standards.
• Undertake health promotion audits, monitor performance and report outcomes.
• Provide administrative support and maintain records for smooth service running.
• Undertake Health Equity Audit with the Programme Manager.
