Job summary

Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Lead Specialist Screening Practitioner to deliver the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme across the South of Tyne centres as part of a Screening specialist practitioner team.

You will work closely with the Hub, coordinate patient care through the screening pathway, advocate for patients, and support health promotion activities to improve screening access for all communities in the Gateshead area.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the Hub to deliver the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
• Coordinate and provide care from the screening centre to address the needs of individuals in the screening pathway.
• Advocate for patients to navigate and make informed choices at all stages of the screening programme.
• Assist the Health Improvement Practitioner in coordinating health promotion activities to improve access to screening across all sections of the population.
