Job Description
The Counter Lead is responsible for supporting their Brand in driving sales turnover and market share through consistently remaining consumer focused.
They are accountable for achieving this by:
- Reflecting a credible and professional Brand image to all internal and external consumers at all times
- Maximising sales through selling, providing excellent service and retail standards
- Contributing to efficiencies through adhering to store/Brand/Company Procedures and guidelines
- Understanding daily/weekly targets
- Ensuring personal awareness of all additional sales avenues such as eventing, Omni, and digital channels
- Keeping up to date with competitor activities and missed opportunities
- Effectively using social media to drive the business and enhance the Brand image
- Delivering the Brand Strategy and local plans
- Planning and implementing local marketing and events initiatives
- Delivering excellent service, aiming for zero consumer complaints and a surprise-and-delight culture
- Being an ambassador for the Brand and ensuring Brand values are represented
- Managing refunds and complaints per guidelines, consulting with the Area Manager when needed
- Using digital tools to stay informed and knowledgeable
- Developing strategies for consumer recruitment and retention
- Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge to deliver industry-leading experiences
- Ensuring standards in product presentation, housekeeping, displays, messaging, and pricing
- Reviewing retail standards daily and maintaining them
- Managing deliveries, stock movements, and related administration within company timeframes
- Fulfilling all administrative and auditable processes accurately
- Minimising stock loss through adherence to security policies
- Creating and maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety policies
Commercial Responsibilities
- Managing daily replenishment and taking appropriate actions
- Maximising sales performance using commercial reports
- Planning and executing visual merchandising layouts
- Addressing stock package issues and informing the Area Manager when necessary
- Managing promotions and discounts according to guidelines
- Identifying trends and suggesting improvements for product performance
Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced retail or consumer-facing environment
- Ability to drive self-development
- Commercial understanding of the industry
- Effective communication, organization, and prioritization skills
